The Sessions
Set and Setting
The sessions are private and take place in the home of our medicine guide in the mountains of western San Jose. They last around two and a half hours hours and are accompanied by gentle music, Tibetan and crystal bowls along with aromatic copal incense.
Please note that we do not offer accommodations and meals. Our host will work with you to find a comfortable, nearby Airbnb and transport and from the sessions is included.
Our goal is to create and sustain a sacred space where each participant can experience and move through the experiences feeling completely safe and secure.

PREPARATION AND INTEGRATION
PREPARATION
Inhaling Bufo vapor takes skill, therefore the correct technique and practice are essential for the full experience.
Unlike dry leaf, once Bufo is lit, it continues to burn until extinguished. The full dose must be consumed in one inhalation that can last around 20 seconds. It is also critical to inhale at the right tempo to not waste precious vapor before the entire dose is consumed.
Before the retreat, participants will be taught specialized breathing exercises that make the inhalation process effortless. In addition there will be a practice session before the ceremony along with a Yoga in the morning to help relax the body and eliminate fear and stress.
An initial phone call will also be scheduled to discuss all aspects of the ceremony and answer questions and concerns.
INTEGRATION
It is easy to fall back into old patterns and behaviors once the retreat is over. Our goal is for you to take the knowledge and experience gained and incorporate it into your daily life through practical techniques you will learn during the retreat itself.
